What is the role about?
As technical development is the core of our business, our tech team is growing and needs a Senior Software Developer who sees themselves focusing on full-stack development with an emphasis on the backend (data & API). You will have a lot of room to share your opinions & you will be encouraged to ask the right questions & challenge the status quo. 
You will be part of our software development team, consisting of six internal Senior Software Developers, two consultants, a UX/UI Designer, a DevOps Specialist and a Product owner. The main tech stack that the team works with is TypeScript, React.js, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, and Docker. 
You will also be working with multiple stakeholders from different parts of the Forenom organization in Finland, Sweden, Norway & Denmark.

In This Key Role, You Will:

  • Work together with our software development team to build the best available software solutions
  • Be a part of building major new features for Forenom’s services 
  • Have the freedom to decide which areas of work are interesting to you and focus on them
  • Exercise autonomy on your goals & schedule

To Thrive In This Role, It Would Be Good If You Have:

  • Experience working with TypeScript and/or JavaScript 
  • Possibly some knowledge of Python, as some of our microservices are built with it 
  • Good communication skills in English, as it’s our official working language
  • As a person, you are a good communicator, dare to share your ideas, are curious and always interested to find better ways of doing things

    • + Strong mathematical background or interest in Machine Learning. No worries if you don't have it as it isn’t the primary required skill.

The Hiring Process:

  • Initial screening call (30 mins)
  • Technical interview (discussion) with the Team Lead and a couple of developers (1,5 hrs).
  • The second interview to meet & get to know the rest of the team (1 hr)
