TL;DR – What is Inbound Marketing

Inbound marketing – You might have heard or seen the term being thrown around. What it actually is?

Inbound marketing is “letting” visitors to find you through search engines or social media and then converting them to be leads and eventually to your customers. A lot of people search for information online and what they find is directly affecting them in the buyer journey.

This is achieved through creating relevant and educational content for your target audience and guiding them in the buying process. Educating your target audience is especially crucial if your product or service is something they haven’t thought of or seen before.

Have you ever read a blog from a company that you found by searching about a solution or a produdct in a search engine and then eventually becoming their customer? That is what inbound marketing is in its simplicity. However the process has a lot more steps and tricks on how you guide potential customers through the buyer journey to become your customer. On the image below you can see inbound marketing flow on how you acquire new customers with this method.

There are many aspects and things to keep in mind when creating an inbound campaign:

  • Who are your customers?
  • What they search in internet?
  • How they search for information?
  • What they want to learn about?
  • How you convert visitors into leads and eventually to customers?

Once you have a grasp of these questions. It is about creating and executing the campaign.
